WalletHero is a free grocery price comparison service for South Africa. We do not collect, sell, or share any personal information about our users.

2. What we collect

WalletHero does not require registration and does not collect any personally identifiable information (names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data).

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data, such as:

• Search queries (e.g., "bread") – stored without any user identifier.
• Number of products viewed per search.
• Basket comparison items (only while you use the tool; not stored after you leave).

This data helps us understand which products are most important to South African shoppers so we can improve our service.

3. Saved shopping lists

When you save a shopping list using the "Save My List" button, the list is stored only on your device (in your browser's local storage). WalletHero never sees or stores these lists. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser data.

4. Cookies

WalletHero does not use any cookies for tracking. We may use a temporary session cookie (essential for the website to function) which is deleted when you close your browser. If we introduce advertising (e.g., Google AdSense), third‑party advertisers may use their own cookies; you will be asked for consent before any such cookies are placed.

5. Third‑party links

Our website contains links to external retailer websites (Checkers, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Woolworths). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies when you visit.

6. Data security

Any anonymous usage data is stored securely and is accessible only to WalletHero. We do not share, sell, or trade this data with third parties.

7. Your rights (POPIA)

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:

• Ask what data we hold (none, unless you voluntarily contact us).
• Request correction or deletion of any data.
• Withdraw consent at any time (by leaving the site).
